First, I'll update you about Ava Jane. Sometimes I feel guilty...I mean, Ella had an entire blog dedicated to her for 18 months and now it seems Jane (as Ella affectionately calls her) doesn't get nearly the publicity on the blog! But, life is much crazier with two, so it's a little harder to keep up with the blog!
Let's see...Ava Jane is rolling over front to back...she did that on September 10th...a few days shy of turning 3 months old! Ella and I were playing on the floor while Ava was doing tummy time and over she rolled...like a pro. I think she saves her rolling over for certain occasions though, because some days during tummy time she just fusses until I pick her up. She continues to be a really easy, laid back baby-- which is a great help in balancing two little ones. Ava Jane loves to "talk" and coo and is even laughing! It's the cutest thing ever. She's awesome and every day we fall more and more in love with Baby Girl #2
As for Ella...Ella Bell is just as spunky this month as she was last month. She LOVES school and asks about it everyday! She will wear a bow to school for her teacher...so Mondays and Wednesdays we actually get to see her in a bow (otherwise, she won't wear one)! She's talking more and starting to put 2 words together more frequently, so that's a lot of fun. Oh yeah, one more thing, Ella is obsessed with shoes--particularly boots! Every store she goes into she wants to go to the shoe section. So far this year, she's acquired blue suede boots, brown riding boots, and pink cowboy boots (all of which she picked out herself). It's always fun to see what she'll pick out next. She's a character and is as energetic as ever--having an almost 2 year old is a lot of fun and definitely keeps us on our toes.

| Ella's 1st Day of School "all by herself" |
Brent spent most of the month studying for his FINAL Board Exam which he took on Monday, October 1st. Poor Brent worked all day, ate dinner, and studied and worked on business stuff until he went to bed every night. He was crazy busy, but I know his hard work will pay off!! I'm sure he did great on the exam! With Brent so busy, I was extremely grateful for my mom who helped me hold down the fort by devoting all her time to helping me with the girls. I've been so lucky to have her help for 5 months now. Miss Ella is definitely going to really miss living with her Nana-- she loves her bunches. We are appreciative of all my Mom's help and it has made things so much easier on us!!
Despite our busy schedule, we were able to have some leisure too. The first week of September we got a visit from Mimi and Papa. They brought Bells that cute UGA cheerleader outfit in the pictures above!! Ella LOVES spending time with them and was very sad to see them go. She has a very special bond with them. We all had a great visit and appreciated their help. That weekend we also helped host a tailgating party in Buckhead for our friends Scott and Allison who will be getting married next weekend. It was lots of fun seeing so many of our friends and celebrating the happy couple.
During September we also went with Laura, Kyle, and Baby Henry to the Peachtree Farmer's Market. We had a great time with them...they are definitely one of our favorite families. Ella enoyed the atmosphere and especially enjoyed her organic popsicle (at 10 a.m.). We also visited the ducks at the pond that day too. Such a fun morning and we will definitely have to do it again soon.
October is sure to be filled with lots more excitement-- Halloween, pumpkin patch, getting ready for Brent's office to open the first week of November, and gearing up to move. Busy, busy. On Friday, we met with Brent's cousin, Dan who owns a home remodeling business to get an estimate on some of the work that needs to be done before we move into our house. We are so fortunate to have his help and enjoy getting to see more of him. We are going to decide this week what work we can afford and hopefully renovations will start soon. Dan estimates it will take 5 weeks before we will be able to move in...we're ready and excited! Until next time...enjoy this GORGEOUS fall weather!!
