NYE 2012...

Happy New Year's Eve!!  All I can say is that 2012 was quite a year for our family...  I think we're all ready to veg out in 2013! Just to recap, it went something like this:

1. We decided to leave Savannah at the end of December...I was 2 months pregnant with Ava J
2. Brent started looking for jobs and began to lean towards opening his own practice
3. We moved to Roswell at the end of April to live with my Mom (we lived there for 7 months...thanks, Mom!!)
4. Brent decided to open is own practice and the loan process and construction began
5. A week into June I began to have pregnancy complications and was hospitalized
6. On June 14th, Ava Jane was born 4.5 weeks early and thankfully very healthy!
7. When Ava Jane was 2 weeks old we started looking for houses...our search continued for four months...

8. Brent commuted from Roswell to Dawsonville to work while coming home each night to study for Boards.
9. On October 1st, Brent took his Pediatric Dentistry Oral Boards in Dallas, TX
10. On October 3rd we closed on our house
11. On October 10th a month of renovations on the house began
12. On November 10th Herrin Pediatric Dentistry had it's Grand Opening Party and it's first operational day on Nov. 13th
13. I starting working part-time at the office after 2 years of being home
14. We moved into our new house on Nov. 17th
15. We found out Brent passed his Oral Boards
16. We had Thanksgiving at our house
17. We unpacked and settled in
18. Celebrated Ella's 2nd Birthday on Dec. 17th and her Birthday party on Dec. 22nd at our new home
19.  Had Christmas at our new house

What a year of ups and downs and everything in between.  The highlight was obviously Ava Jane's birth.  I cannot put into words how much we love our new addition. And we blinked and Ella was two...and talking...and not a baby anymore.  She is such a light in our lives.  Time is moving so fast...I just wish I could bottle up this moment forever.

We are grateful for the blessings of 2012 and hope that 2013 is a lot more quiet and less eventful.  I think we need some time to chill.  Thanks to all who supported us and loved us when we were so busy that we couldn't give back as much as we wish we could.  Happy NYE to everyone!!!

Brent and I have the night off as my WONDERFUL Mom has volunteered to watch the kids!  We were invited to go to a NYE party, but decided to stay-in because we have not slept in AGES.  Ava Jane has terrible reflux and wakes up 3+ times most nights.  We decided to go out to a nice dinner in Marietta, come home and watch a movie, and best of all, have a full night of sleep without any interruptions.  Ava Jane is heading to the GI specialist at the end of the month, so we are hoping he can help her out and make her feel better.  Her reflux is in whole other league than Ella's was, the Prevacid that was a miracle drug for Ella doesn't work at all :(.  Hoping Ava Jane's stomach will feel much better in 2013!

Catch Up: September Photo Session

At the end of September, we had Ava Jane's three month photo session and Ella's last photo session as a 1 year old (she was 21 months).  Marta Noe shot the session for us in the park in the neighborhood I grew up in and at my Mom's house which was really cool.  Ella wasn't very cooperative that day, but thankfully Marta was able to snap some good shots that showcased her little personality.  Ava Jane was a little ham and enjoyed getting her picture taken.  Marta did a wonderful job capturing our family as we are and we are so excited to have picture memories from such a special time in our lives. I had trouble picking just a few so there are a lot.
