Ella is four months old today. It's safe to say that she is our pride and joy!! We are absolutely amazed at what a little "person" she is turning into. Her smiles light up the room, her little chuckle melts our hearts, and her "talking" is music to our ears. She is cruising out of her colic stage into a fun, happy baby. This stage is awesome. She knows her mom and dad, loves to be around familiar people, and wants to play all the time. She looks around at everything and really wants to know about her world. Last night, she discovered her feet. So hilarious!! She looked down and saw them and started "talking" to them! Next thing I know, she is bringing them toward her mouth--she puts everything in her mouth!! I helped her get them up where she could see them and she stuck her foot in her mouth and started sucking her toes. Kinda gross...mostly hysterical. That Ella, she's something else!! Aside from sucking on her toes, she loves pictures right now. Yesterday, I was uploading some pictures of her (of course) on to the computer. She saw herself and starting squealing with glee. I was looking around trying to see what had made her so happy. I followed her eyes to the computer screen and realized she was responding to the picture of herself!! So precious.
She's really starting enjoy connecting with others too. We went to brunch today with our friends Misty and Chad! We joke that Ella has a crush on Chad--she just loves him--don't worry, Misty, she loves you too!! :) Sure enough, she was excited to see them and flashed them many smiles. She "flirted" with Chad as usual--she even fell asleep in his arms. I was so excited that she was showing this personality to people other than just Brent and me!! It was so cute!
Ella has blessed our lives beyond belief. We keep saying-- it's only been four months and we love her this much...uh oh!! :-) Everyday she is doing something new and we just sit and marvel at our little miracle. We thank God for every minute and count our blessings every night. Happy Four Month Birthday, Baby Girl! We love you!
