| Happy Mimi...Happy Ava and Ella! |
On July 6th, Mimi celebrated her birthday and we headed down to Dublin! At that point, Ava was just two weeks old, but we wanted to make sure we were there for her special day. Now that we are back in Georgia we *try* to be present at as many family occasions as we can. So, that Friday we packed and got two babies ready for a weekend away from home. Packing for both girls is A LOT of work!! The question I always ask when we are packing to go away is how do babies have sooo much stuff?? I mean you never think about all the supplies you use daily for a baby until you have to pack for a night away!
Ella has hit a difficult streak in the car. She does not like to be in the car for more than 5 minutes, so that means any car ride over 5 minutes is less than pleasurable. This ride was no exception. She cried and complained during the car ride. I actually sat in the back between her and Ava's car seats and she still didn't calm down. BUT, once we made it to Dublin, she was ALL smiles to see her Mimi and Papa. Boy, what a treat...she loves her Mimi and Papa!!

We spent the weekend celebrating Mimi's birthday. Unfortunately, we couldn't take Ava out in public yet because she hasn't had her vaccinations, so Julie had to make her own birthday dinner Friday night. It was delicious and came with a choice of like 4 dessert!! Yum! She always goes over and beyond in the kitchen. We had a wonderful visit and Ella got to swim in her pool and get lots of special attention from Mimi and Papa. She loves spending time in Dublin. Ava just slept most of the trip...unfortunately, her nights and days were really confused at this point so Brent and I were basically up ALL night. I wasn't much of a visitor this trip and honestly took every chance I could to sleep and Brent and his parents were sweet to watch the girls and give me a break. It was also a special treat to get to see the The Bests and Ms. Leslie while we were there. So great to see you all and thanks again for the sweet gifts!
We had a fun weekend and know that having both her granddaughters there made Mimi's birthday extra special. She is a wonderful grandmother to the girls and a great Mom too. We all love her dearly and were happy to make the trip just for her! And of course, we loved spending time with sweet Papa too. We love you BOTH lots and can't wait to have another fun filled weekend in Dublin once of lives get a little less CRAZY!! XOXO!
